Plant Fair 2026 Venue Rental Regulations and Guidelines
Regulations for use of Fairgrounds rental
As the renters of the facility, the Skagit County Master Gardener Foundation is responsible for
ensuring that all participants adhere to the Fairgrounds regulations as stated in the rental
contract. Failure to follow the rules could result in the event being shut down at the discretion
of the Fairgrounds staff. It is therefore crucial that all participants follow these rules:
- Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages at the Fairgrounds is prohibited.
- Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and is not allowed on Fairgrounds property.
- All Food Concessionaires, Restaurants and/or Caterers must be registered with the
Skagit County Health Department. - Noise must be kept to a comfortable level for neighbors of the venue.
- Overnight camping is not allowed.
- Complaints of misconduct, domestic violence, fighting, and/or general disorder will
cause immediate closure of the event.
Additional guidelines regarding dogs
- Typically, the Fairgrounds has a no dogs (except for licensed service animals) policy
during large public events. For this reason, we would ask you to consider leaving your
dog/pet at home. Please note other events at the Fairgrounds, including the County
Fair, have a strict no dogs policy. At the heart of the typical fairgrounds policy is to
protect animals that are inspected and vet-checked before entering the grounds for an
event, such as the 4-H Small Animal Fair, which is part of the Plant Fair event.
