Tomato Selector

Heirloom tomatoes are are direct descendants of the plants that over many generations produced outstanding fruit. Farmers would save seeds of their best plants year after year (seed saving). No hybridization. Heirlooms have  a shorter shelf life and are less disease resistant than hybrids but make up for it in flavor, taste and color.

Determinate tomatoes are compact and require no pruning. They quickly reach a mature height and stop growing. All of the fruit set occurs in a short period so harvest season is short, but they are perfect for cool summers and patio/container gardens.
